The ongoing music royalty battle is at it’s peak, and no one is ready to give in so easily. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has has apparently held on to the rights of his latest movie Jai Ho, which won’t let music company T-series make any benefits.
T-Series were earlier involved in a spat with musicians like Sonu Nigam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan over music royalties. The rights of the music are usually held on by the music companies in this case T-Series but a source tells us the earnings will be pocketed by Salman Khan.
Sohail Khan apparently gave to the rights to his elder brother but Salman being the nice guy he always is, gave back the rights to T-Series. Bhushan Kumar, the owner of T-Series says his company still maintains the rights of the movie and also added that the production house always gives the rights to the music company.
But if Salman has really held on to Jai Ho‘s music rights, It would be for the first time in the music industry that a lead actor has held on the the rights of the music. Also, it might help the struggling singers win the battle against the music labels for the royalty issue. Way to go Salman, Jai Ho!!
