At the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) 2014, Asha Bhosle was honored with the Music Living Legend Award for enthralling the audiences for seven decades now. Bhosle, who is the most recorded artist with over 12000 songs, started her singing career in 1943. She paid a tribute to late husband and music maestro R D Burman at the awards.
Ranveer Singh, who hosted the awards, made sure everyone was entertained enough and made everyone laugh with his witty remarks. He later performed to the Ram Lakhan song along with Anil Kapoor on stage; proving he can host as good as he can act.
