Saurabh Shukla, the actor-writer who played the role of the judge in the legal comedy thriller Jolly LLB, will now be seen in a pivotal role in the upcoming Yash Raj Film’s Gunday.
“I have a prominent role in Gunday. I play a lawyer in the movie who is engrossed in helping bad people,” said Shukla in an interview.
Talking about the film, he says “This film is a story of two people who come from Bangladesh to India as refugees and eventually get into underworld.”
The 50 year old Shukla started his career with Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen and rose to prominence when he played the iconic role of Kallu Mama in Ram Gopal Varma’s epic film Satya. He will also be seen in Aamir Khan’s Peekay and after that, he will be seen in two other movies Main Tera Hero and Gang of Ghosts.
Gunday is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and stars Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Irrfan Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. It is scheduled for a February 14th release.
