Dedh Ishqiya audio review: Vishal weaves magic again!

One of the biggest assets of Ishqiya was music, with Vishal and Gulzar composing magical tunes that were just perfect. The same combination of Vishal Bharadwaj’s mesmerizing tunes and Gulzar’s lovely lyrics make the Dedh Ishqiya’s audio which got released recently very magical, just the we’re expecting the movie to be.

The Dedh Ishqiya audio is composed of six songs on the whole all of which seem really special.

Dil Ka Mijaaz Ishqiya, the song that was released a long time ago is the most lovely of them all. A typical Rahat fateh Ali Khan’s song, it is very soft and soothing to listen to and will remind us of Dil Toh Bachcha Hai from Ishqiya. The lyrics penned by Gulzar bring in a very nice charm to it.

Hamari Atariya Pe sung beautifully by Rekha Bharadwaj is yet another beautifully woven folk song from the album that has already become immensely popular thanks to Rekha’s voice and Madhuri’s impeccable dancing skills.

‘Zabaan jale hain’ is by far the best work that Gulzar has done in the Dedh Ishqiya audio, with interesting lyrics made up of the folk lingo of the northern parts of the country. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s subtle and apt usage of the guitar makes it sound really good.

The lovely classical number Jagaave Saari Raat which was once again sung by Rekha Bharadwaj is rich in every single way, its lyrics, the very difficult and intricate music and all of that. A song that is sure to remembered for a long time.

The Khawwali song Kya Hoga that was sung by Master Saleem, Shahid Maliya and Jazim Sharma is not like the rest of the bollywood nubers and that makes the song really special, added to that the really off beat lyrics like ‘Lau ko chhoo ke laut aaya jo’ by Gulzar.

Horn OK please, a new fun track that got added to the album recently was sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh and Sukhwinder Singh is as good as all of the Yo Yo’s previous tracks, except that this time, it was Vishal Bharadwaj who composed instead of Yo Yo.

All in all, the songs are just amazing with a very nice blend of classical and modern bollywood music and the beautiful lyrics by Gulzar.
