It is natural for film stars to venture into politics these days after their film career ends, with a lot of veteran actors choosing that path. Recently, Akshay Kumar who is nearing his fifties was asked if politics would be his next thing after films, surprisingly, he said no. He said he would like to do something related to sports and health instead.
“Why should I venture into unknown territory? I want to live happily. that’s all I want to do. In a very separate way, I want to do something only for sports and health. If you ask me about sports and health, I can write a book on it. So, I don’t want to get into all that. I’ve earned enough fame in my life, I want to serve through sports and health. I’m currently into production that is keeping me busy. Besides my one-year-old daughter keeps me occupied the most” was what Akshay Kumar said talking about it.
Incidentally, the same question was posed to Sonakshi Sinha, who’s dad is already into politics and this is what she said in reply, “A lot of people have asked me this because my father is into politics.But I don’t think that’s reason enough for me to get into it. I believe I’m better off entertaining the people right now.”
So looks like the new gen bollywood stars are no longer interested in entering politics…document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);
