The guys at All India Bakchod, standup comedians Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba, Ashish Shakya and Rohan Joshi asks Bollywood (particularly YRF) to chill, lighten up and get some humor in their life.
So the story goes like this… These guys wanted to do a spoof trailer on the upcoming release Dhoom 3, which is a Yash Raj Film. However, there weren’t given permission to do so, despite the former asking YRF to make money off their video. And in Joshi’s words, the refusal was not polite at all.
The AIB humorists are not the ones to take a no and so they came out with a video dedicated to the video to ‘Grumpy Ole Bollywood’. The video kicks off with the lines, “The internet is littered with movie trailer parodies and mashups. BUT not in India, because here studios get grumpy and take these parodies down.”
The video already has over 57,000 hits on Youtube and is going viral like nuts.
Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter and appreciated the work. He tagged the video as ‘legendary’ adding he had a ‘great laugh’.
Even Yash Raj Films have replied, which reads, “Cool stuff! Love the way they have taken our pants off!
Unfortunately we couldn’t allow them to use the spoof that they are upset about because it went into messing around with the personal space of the actors which was not cool.”
Yash Raj, where the hell’s your sense of humour?
Enjoy! And keep it coming!
