“My father would cry watching Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” Karan Johar

It’s been 12 years that the legendary movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham got released and went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year, and it still is the one of the most amazing family dramas bollywood’s ever had. Having a very stellar cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, the movie was woven upon the sentiments and the intense relationships that an Indian family shares.

Karan Johar, the director of the movie tweets on how the movie is very special to him and how even today, his dad Yash Johar cries whenever he watches it today, “12 years of K3G, my dad’s favourite movie…he always cried when he saw it, and said ‘Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan reminded him of his dad and him’..”

Shah Rukh Khan, who plays Rahul, the elder son of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan who seems to have got emotional about the movie completing 12 years also tweeted on it, thanking all of his co stars in the tweet.

“This one has a big thank you list…Amit ji, Jaya ji, Hrithik, Kareena, Kajol, Yashji, Faridaji (Farida Jalal), grannies, fainting Karan and all phew! ‘K3G’- a dozen years” his tweet says.
