At the opening ceremony of the 11th Chennai International Film Festival, two finest actors of Indian Cinema, Aamir Khan and Kamal Haasan, caught up with each other and were seen deeply engrossed in conversation.
Aamir Khan spoke about the need of a chain of theaters to screen international films in the country; “I sometimes wish in India we had a chain of theatres which would throughout the year showcase films from different parts of the world. Even films from different parts of our country, films from different languages which we could all get to watch,” he said.
International film personalities from countries like Serbia, France, Iran, Ukraine, Poland, and Mexico, etc attended the festival. Kamal Haasan, being the radical person that he is, said that the film industry should take the responsibility of censoring films as the people on the Censor Board are not qualified enough.
While this on one side, seeing the two actors bond definitely made us feel if they make a movie together, it will be epic…
