Hansal Mehta, the film-maker who made the biopic of a slain lawyer Shahid Azmi, now plans on making a biopic based on the life of Sachin Tendulkar’s lesser known brother Ajit Tendulkar. Ajit is known to be a true ‘friend-philosopher-guide’ to the master blaster and has chosen to stay away from the limelight.
“Hansal is very kicked about the project, he has had a long chat with a leading studio about it. He hasn’t met Ajit yet as the project is still at a nascent stage. His film will highlight the life of Ajit and his contribution to the creation of Sachin’s legend,” says a source and added “The film is not a biopic on Sachin. The focus will be on Ajit who has always silently supported his younger brother while remaining out of the headlines. Hansal plans to focus on Ajit’s highs and lows as he sees Sachin grow intoa world renowned icon.”
The director confirmed the news and said, “It is too early to talk about it. It’s at a premature stage.”
Looks like many unsung heroes are being immortalized by Hansal Mehta.. Kudos!
