Uday Chopra had announced that he plans to quit acting after Dhoom 3. We belive it is a good decision as most of his films have been debacles and the ones that succeeded, did so because he was in a supporting role (like the Dhoom series where he plays the funny sidekick Ali). Now, he plans on turning into a producer; starting with making a documentary on his late father and film-maker Yash Chopra.
“I want to make a documentary but I don’t want to do a regular one. I have spoken to a few people and I want to do something different. I want somebody who can crack something that will be unique. It is great to immortalise someone like him (Yash Chopra),” said Uday.
“Dad was a filmmaker. If I make a documentary on him it has to be about films and it should be good enough for people who don’t even know Yash Chopra to watch it and love it. They should feel it is an interesting documentary. I can do a labour of love in a month’s time. But my intention is not that, I want people to watch it universally and love it,” he added.
We think he will be better as a film-maker than as an actor; going by the kind of thoughts he is projecting. What say you folks?
