As veteran actor Dharmendra celebrated his 78th birthday recently, there was a huge turn out of fans outside his residence. Nearly 1200 people were reported to have accumulated around the star’s house on the day. A perfect example of how much bollywood audiences love their stars and remember them, even years after they’ve retired.
When he was interviewed about this at around 6 pm in the eveningm he seemed overwhelmed and extremely happy that such a huge number of people still adored him.”I feel so happy and blessed that people still love me so much” the star said.
If Amitabh Bachchan is their Shahenshah and Shah Rukh Khan their Baadshah, Dharmendra is their ever green ‘He-man’ and ‘Garam Dharam’. Dharmendra though, doesn’t care about all these titles and prefers being called as the Darling D instead, as he says that it makes him feel loved.
He said that his day begin with a ‘Havan’ and that it almost entirely made his day when Esha Deol visited his house with her husband Bharat Thaktani. Dharmendra, the doting father says that the biggest gift for him would be to see his daughters settled happily.
