He adds, “Since Gunday is set in Kolkata, director Ali Abbas Zafar and I thought that Bappi Uncle would be the right choice for the Bengali track. We not only had a great time recording with him but also learnt a lot from him.”

Bappi Lahiri who had an awesome time crooning the Bengali song for the film, turned 61 this week . Talking about it, he says “It’s not often that one gets to sing in one’s mother tongue in a Hindi film. The Gunday song was great fun. It’s produced by the newly-revived Bombay Talkies productions and is directed by Johnny Walker’s son Nassir. It’s great fun to be working with so many young people. I may be 61 but I don’t feel old.”
