Vidyut Jamwal: “I play an IPS officer in Bullett Raja”

Actor Vidyut Jamwal became a very common name and managed to grab many eyeballs with his amazing body and power-packed, daredevil stunts in ‘Commando’ and ‘Force’.

Now the actor is making a special appearance in Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Bullett Raja’ and is very excited about his role. In a freewheeling chat with us, the actor talks about his Bollywood journey, 100 crore clubs, his role models and how he handles females drooling over him…

On his special appearance in Bullett Raja: “I play an IPS officer in this film and have some special stunts that will leave an impact on the audience. I have choreographed my own action and for me it was a very big thing as it means the director believes in me and my potential. I met director Tigmanshu Dhulia sometime back and he told me about the role. I immediately said yes as it was an action-oriented role.”

From reel life to real life hero: “Yes when I saw the stuntman was about to fall from a cliff, I quickly jumped into action. I did not realize that it was risky as my soul was asking me to help him. I got a huge compliment from Indian Stunt Association on this act. I feel that stuntmen are the actual heroes as their job is the riskiest.”

On his upcoming movie with Ram Madhvani: “A very exciting venture which will see me performing breathtaking stunts. Ram is one of the best action directors and he has come up with a very unique concept in this film. The film will be unlike anything you have seen before, with a lot of the Indian martial art form, Kalaripayattu.”

Rajinikanth is my inspiration: “Rajinikanth is a trendsetter. He has used his body and brain in a manner that is unbeatable. And the way he rolls cigarettes in his mouth is also very stylish. I would love to work with him someday.”

Salman is the trendsetter: “When it comes to best bodies in B-Town, I like both Salman and Hrithik’s bodies. While Salman started the trend of bodybuilding, Hrithik also has a great body.”

The 100-crore club: “I would love to be a part of Rs 100-crore club. However, I think 100 crore will be passe and will be replaced by Rs 500 crore soon. I believe those who say that they a re not affected by 100-crore or would not like to be a part of that prestigious club are lying.”

About handling female attention: “I feel very embarrassed by all the female attention I get. I feel humbled and grateful that I am getting so much attention and that my work is getting appreciated.”
