Was the ban on Eggjactly of Sunny Leone’s Jackpot fair?

Sometimes we don’t really understand why the censor board decides against some songs and some movies. Take the song Eggjactly of Sunny Leone’s Jackpot for instance.., This song doesn’t really count as being obscene except for a few words which could easily have been dealt with. But the censor board was hell bent on not having it in the movie for reasons that we can’t really fathom.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the song has some lyrics that talk about the corruption in the country and all of that. But that need not have been a reason for the censor board to delete it from the movie entirely. It was just a light-hearted number that would have definitely been liked by the audiences.

Kaizad Gustad, the director who was naturally miffed spoke on it saying, “It’s unnecessary. I don’t understand why the song has been banned – it’s funny and there is humour in it. It is not anything personal it is about the whole country. He (Javed) has not attacked any one person. The censor board should have some sense of humour. It’s just a funny song and he has not offended anybody. He has been very careful to avoid personal attacks.”

He needn’t worry though, as, by banning the song the censor board has managed to attract a lot of attention from all the curious audiences and the video that has been uploaded in the youtube has got a number of views ever since the ban was announced. You could go watch it too, and let us know if you think it deserved to be banned or not.document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
