Emraan Hashmi might be seen playing an invisible man in an upcoming flick, but his heroine will very much be visible. And it is none other than Prateik’s Juliet from Issaq.
Amyra Dastur has been signed opposite Emraan Hashmi in Mr X. while Amyra refused to either “confirm or deny the news”, saying she couldn’t reveal anything untill december, Mahesh Bhatt acknowledged that she was indeed on board.
“We keep looking for new people because the audience wants to see something unusual every time. Amyra made a sparkling debut. She is intelligent, has emotional depth and is a contemporary Indian girl. When she walked into the room she brought in her perfume and sunlight and I liked her immediately,” Bhatt reminisced.
Bhatt remembers watching Mr X, a 1957 Ashok Kumar-Nalini Jaywant starrer made by his father Nanabhai Bhatt, when he was just eight years old. “I recall Johnny Walker who played a laundry man being carried in the air by the hero across the room,” he said. “The film was produced by GP Sippy and I’m grateful to Sippy Films for giving us the title.”
Will there be a similar scene in this Mr X? “There will be more jaw-dropping scenes since Indian technicians are at par with the world’s best with Fox Star Studios giving us technical support from Los Angeles. When Vikram came to me with the idea, I was awestruck,” asserted Bhatt.
And now for the clincher: “This Invisible Man is bad.” So, will the heroine’s goodness change him? Bhatt laughed, “You want me to give out the entire story?”
