YRF’s Dhoom Deal with Pepsico and Mattel

The makers of Dhoom 3, Yash Raj Films, are going all out to ensure the film is well promoted and is a big hit. They have teamed up with Microsoft, for a video game based on the film and now, they are signing a deal with Pepsico and Mattel over the merchandise based on the film.

The deal, which is said to be the most ambitious one ever for an Indian film, has over 100 products ranging from games and toys to apparel and gadgets like biker games partnered with Microsoft, funky fashion accessories for men, Ice X Electronics’ Dhoom branded phones and tablets with content from the movie, Mattel’s collector’s edition will have dolls of Aamir and Katrina, Hot Wheel bikes, race track sets, UNO cards and kids apparel.

Meanwhile, the producer Aditya Chopra is putting his hopes once again on the director Vijay Krishna Acharya, whose directorial debut Tashan was a debacle.

Dhoom 3 releases on December 20th.
