In the initial days of his career, when Shahrukh Khan was a nobody, the daring actor decided to make a mark in Bollywood and took a risk by playing a villain in ‘Baazigar’. This happened 20 years ago. Little did he know that, his villainous act would go on to gradually make him the king of Bollywood.
Well, it was on this day 20 years ago that Baazigar released and even today, SRK continues to reap the rich dividends for that.
Thanking the makes and co-actors for his super success, Shahrukh took to Twitter. “20 years of ‘Baazigar’. Thanks Abbas-Mustan, Kajol, Shilpa (Shetty) and Rakhiji (Rakhi Gulzar),” Shahrukh also quoted the famous dialogue from the film saying: “Abhi bhi haarkar jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hain (Even today, the person who wins the losing battle is called a ‘Baazigar’).”
Besides ‘Baazigar’, SRK has played a baddie in ‘Anjaam’, ‘Darr’ and Don.
The actor is presently shooting for Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani.
