Shashi Kapoor’s hand-imprint tile to join walk of the stars

Shashi Kapoor will be immortalized in yet another way on Saturday when a tile with his hand imprint will be unveiled by his son Kunal.

The tile will later be installed at the UTV’s Walk of The Stars at Bandra, as a tribute to the veteran actor’s contribution to the Indian Cinema.

“This hand print will symbolize his (my father’s) contribution to the Indian film industry. It’s an honour for me to be able to launch my father’s tile in his presence. He’s been one of the most popular stars of his time and he will be remembered that way,” Kunal said in a statement.

Other members of his family like Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, already have their hand-imprints at the Walk of The Stars and now, his will join them. Also, there are brass statues of late brothers, Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, at that location.

Shashi Kapoor was seen in some iconic movies like Deewar, Namak Halal, Do Aur Do Paanch, Kabhie Kabhie, etc…
