While the whole country is looking forward for the epic movie Ram Leela, the lead actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are busy promoting the movie all over. Recently, they were at a conference arranged by Radio Mirchi and spoke to the media there about the movie.
The media shot questions at the two in a rapid fire mode and yet, the two remained calm and even gave humorous answers. Ranveer, who hasn’t even taken a diwali break during the promotions, ironically said he doesn’t believe in extended promotions. “If I had to set a trend, may be in the future when I will be little more established, I would want that an actor does not need to promote his film. I think we go out and sell our work more than actually doing the work and we talk about the work more than what we are actually doing. Nowadays everybody is selling his film for thirty to forty days. But I think the promotions should get over within five or seven days,” said the actor who recently recovered from dengue.
Deepika spoke about the songs in the film and said the song Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun is not a promotional song and is instead, inspired by Govinda’s work. She also spoke about the difficulties she faced during the shoot, with all the heavy costumes and jewelry that almost ripped her ear lobes to difficult dance sequences that skinned her legs.
The much awaited movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, releases on 15th November.
