The upcoming movie Mickey Virus, which is releasing tomorrow (October 25th), marks the debut of several people. Manish Paul and Elli Avram are debuting in the movie as lead actors and the movie is also a first for the director Saurabh Varma. Now the question is, will this movie make it big among the biggies that are being released next week?
On this, trade analyst Taran Adarsh says “The situation arose because there is no other date available in November for these films to release. The festive season has so many big films coming that there is no other time. Once you make a film, how long can you wait before you release it.”
The movie, in which Manish plays the role of a hacker Mickey Arora, is a comedy-thriller has been made on a budget of Rs 11 crore, which includes publicity and advertising, and it will be released in 1,000 screens. There are talks that the movie will be remade in Telugu and Tamil.
“I think so far, no film has been made on hacking, and youngsters will really connect with the film because today everything is online. People shop online, even education is online,” Manish told reporters during the promotion of the film.
“I have a tomboyish character in the film and I am basically one of the boys in the movie. In the film, you will see me doing all guys kind of activities. Manish’s character and mine share a Tom and Jerry relationship.” says Puja Gupta; who plays one of the main roles in the movie.
