Gulshan Grover, who is a well know baddie on the big screen, is doing a very contrasting role in Kitoo Ghos’s directorial venture ‘Sooper Se Ooper’. Gulshan Grover will essay a role of a Harvard University-educated individual settled in Mandawa, Rajasthan.
The character — whose look has apparently been inspired by the late MF Husain — demanded that the actor be attired in just a langot (loincloth) all through the film. And though Grover readily agreed, but on the day of shoot, her developed cold feet.
Gulshan says, “There was a certain degree of uneasiness being dressed in a langot for most of the time, especially since part of my butt could be seen. But my character is like that… he has to have the eccentricity of a Mahesh Bhatt and a Naseeruddin Shah. However, the discomfort on the first day was natural.”
The actor says that he admires those actresses a lot who do bikini shoots and scenes as it requires lots of guts. “To be in a bikini for the entire day and at the same time, give attention to work without being conscious, is commendable. Hats off to them,” he says.
Sooper Se Ooper, is produced by Jigsaw Pictures and will be releasing on 25th of October. The film will also feature Vir Das, Kirti Kulhari, Gulshan Grover, Deepak Dobrial and Yashpal Sharma, is about a man who is in search of his uncle so that he can resolve land grabbing issue.
