Salman Khan decides to change the title of ‘Mental’ to ‘Jai Ho’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming flick which will be releasing on the republic day; 26th January 2014 ‘Jai Ho’, has been in the news (for right as well as wrong reasons) ever since it was conceptualised. As per the latest reports, Salman Khan’s role in the movie will be that of a social crusader in Jai Ho. A source informed a leading daily that movie will see Salman Khan as a mass hero “in a socially relevant theme”. The source also reason behind changing the title of the film from Mental to Jai Ho. It is said that the first title was given by Salman Khan himself and everyone initially loved the title. But later, Salman’s father, Salim Khan “felt the title needed to be more pertinent” and wanted something which is patriotic as the movie will be releasing on Republic Day.

As per Sohail Khan, his father Salim Khan suggested the title ‘Jai Ho’, which was later finalised. “Yes, the film is entitled Jai Ho. Mental was only a working title. We always knew we’d change it. ‘Jai Ho’ was a title that my father liked,” Sohail told the daily.
