Bollywood Bengali beauties dazzle at the Durga puja

When it comes to faith, Bollywood celebrities go out of their way and get things done. They are very spiritual and believe in a supreme power. Kajol, Rani Mukherjee and Sushmita Sen are staunch believers of Goddess Durga and attend the Durga puja every year. Nothing can stop them from attending the puja and nothing can hinder them from taking her blessings. While they are at it, they look their best in every aspect and mostly go the traditional way. Here’s what the ladies wore for the puja this year.

checkered rush

For a moment you’d think that it’s a Sabyasachi design but nope! This gorgeous checkered saree was designed by Sonam and Paras Modi of the SVA fame. Kajol went all traditional with this one and tied her saree in a typical Bengali manner and side braided her hai. Sexy!

lady in red

A plain yet alluring red saree is what Kajol opted to attend the Durga puja. She teamed the red saree with a emerald necklace designed by Amarapali and looked like a shining star on a dark moonless night!

velvety softness

Kajol seems to have taken a liking towards SVA sarees. Throughout the puja Kajol was spotted only in SVA sarees of different kinds. Here she’s wearing a cream Georgette saree with a huge black velvet border. We didn’t like the saree much but it suited Kajol a lot and made her look so pretty!

handloom extravaganza

Why are you grinning Rani? Looks like your prayers have finally been answered! Rani Mukherjee looked extremely gorgeous in a handloom saree. We loved how she teamed up her otherwise simple saree with huge and bold gold jewellery. What we can miss is, her glowing face and the huge rock on her finger.

Traditional neta

Ufff!! This ex-miss-universe will kill us someday. Is grace and simplicity her mantra? In a simple beige and red hand loom saree, Ms Sen attended the Durga puja festivities. How did she complete her look? Open hair, small yet bling studs in her ears and bangles in hand. We are loving her tattoo!

white with a dash of pink

Kajol looked like a breath of fresh air in this white SVA saree with a heavy pink border. She opted for a minimal-natural makeup and tied her hair in a bun. To complete her look, she chose a long gold beaded necklace and a dozen bangles in one hand. We love this hottie!
