Deepika Padukone narrowly escaped the outrage of a group of protesters who had gathered on the ground to protest against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela over some controversial content. The actress was in Ahmedabad to attend a garba event.
As per reports, the protesters were very miffed and were ready to throw eggs and tomatoes at Deepika and the organizers. However, they back off later, when they were assured that the controversial content would be edited in the final print.
According to sources, “The situation got tense but finally they backed down after they were told that the apparently offensive portions from the film had been re-dubbed.”
Apparently, the offensive content was already asked to be removed from the film by the director. The group of protesters however were unaware.
