The nawab of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan is amongst the rare breed of stars who have been able to make it big as solo heros. Though Saif has essayed supporting/parallel roles in many super hit films he has managed to do the same with his solo performances. His ‘jodi’ with top stars like Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan was highly popular and together they delivered some blockbuster hits. Many had believed that Saif Ali Khan wouldn’t go far with the ‘Going Solo deal’ but the ‘Nawab’ proved his mettle and showed that he is capable of ensuring that a film is a hit single handedly.
‘Hum Tum’ was Saif Ali Khan’s was major success in the lead role and following it were hits like ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Salam Namaste’, anouncing to the world that the Saif has arrived as a solo lead. However, one thing that is missing from Saif Ali Khan’s career is the present trend in Bollywood of surpassing the 100 crore mark. Saif’s Race 2 (which had John Abraham as his co-star) could only manage to garner 93-94 crores at the Box-Office, narrowly missing the elusive 100 crore club. And so all eyes are now on his upcoming venture, the Tigmanshu Dhulia directed Bullett Raja
Our gut feeling is that the genre ‘masala action’, which is getting really popular with the movie buffs will help Saif break the 100 crore barrier which seems to be impossible to overcome till now.
The trailers of the film have already grabbed the attention of the audience making it one of the quickest film teaser to cross the 2.5 million mark without any conventional promotional events.
Well, the hype around the movie is building up steadily, one thing can be assumed for sure that Bullet Raja will surely manage to cross the 100 crore barrier if the script is just about right, Fingers crossed!
