Kangana Ranaut had gone great lengths to prepare for her role a a ‘mujrewali’ in the upcoming ‘Rajjo’. The film is directed by Vishwas Patil, it’s a love story between her, a Muslim, and a teenage Brahmin boy, which is essayed by Paras Arora.
Kangana says, “I did a lot of research… visited kothas at Nagpada near Mumbai Central and interacted with the women working there, to understand their body language and mindset. I rehearsed for 14 to 16 hours every day. Vishwas was confident that I would carry off the character well and I guess I managed to pass the test.” In fact, a trusted source says, “Kangana even took to chewing gutka and paan to lend authenticity to her character.”
Contrary to what story feels like, the film doesn’t have any offensive content. The makers say that it is an out-and-out entertainer that tells the tale of a sex worker who want to lead a life of a simple girl. “The film’s USP is Kangana’s complete image transformation, which focuses on her dancing skills,” adds Vishwas. Along with Kangana, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Mahesh Manjrekar and Jaya Prada. The music has been composed by Uttam Singh and cinematography bu Binod Pradhan.
