Apart from The Good Road and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag , The Lunchbox, The Ship of Theseus, English Vinglish, Malayalam film Celluloid and Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam were also vying to be sent for the Oscars.
There were a lot of talks about the Gujarati movie The Good Road being chosen as the official Indian entry for the Oscars. And amongst other movies, Farhan Akhtar’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag lost the race to The Good Road.
When asked if he’s disappointed with the decision, Farhan says, “‘I’m not at all disappointed about Bhaag Milkha Bhaag not being selected as India’s official entry. I think we made a film which we wanted to make. I’m happy that audience liked the film and it did very well. Apart from that, the committee decides which film should go and which shouldn’t. That’s completely up to them.’
