We first witnessed Ranbir Kapoor’s funny side in Saawariya. But we didn’t really know if that bare bum was supposed to be funny or offensive, considering we were watching the movie with our entire family! Well we gave him a pass and he came back with a bang in Bachna Ae Haseeno with his lukha behaviour.
His antics were funny in the first half but when he fell for Deepika Padukone, he was just so funny! Al though his playboy behaviour was quite annoying, he summed it up by apologizing to everyone. We would be lying to ourselves if we say that Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t has a funny bone in his body. On the contrary he has a lot more of them.
His funny side came out bright in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani where he would stammer while he was emotional and when he tried to act really cute while he flirted. He did make us smile and at times, he even made us laugh. We shared few funny moments with him in Wake Up Sid! as well but it was more serious after the first half was over.
Being an efficient salesman is quite difficult, but what’s more difficult is trying to be funny while selling something. But Ranbir Kapoor surprised us with his brilliant acting skills and from that movie on wards we gave in to our conflicting emotions and loved him and longed to see him in a comic role!
And just like that, God answered our prayers and gave us Barfi! I do not have words to express myself. Ranbir Kapoor out did himself with his acting in Barfi! Given he was deaf and mute but oh my God. He acted with such smoothness that were all left baffled. We had our speculations before watching the movie and didn’t think that Ranbir would be able to carry off such an off beat role and he surprised us once again!
