Besharam’s Pallavi Sharda: I wanted to be an actress since childhood

Besharam has released today and there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the film because of it’s story, the actor – Ranbir Kapoor and also the director, Abhinav Kashyap, who previously directed Dabangg. Also, there’s a new aspect to look out for and it is the actress – Pallavi Sharda. Pallavi is an Indian-Australian based trained classical dancer.

During a recent interview, the actress said,  I was born in Perth but raised in Melbourne. I finished my school when I was just 16 years old and then enrolled for a law degree at the University of Melbourne. When I was growing up, bollywood was my dream. I started taking Bharatnatyam classes when I was just 3 years old and my all time favourite actresses are,Madhuri and Sridevi. I always used to do dance on their songs. In fact my nickname was Pallu the dancer.”

I was only 21 years old when I shifted my base from Melbourne to Mumbai. I started out with theatre and was then cast as the lead in Vaibhavi Merchant’s Taj Express because I was a good dancer. Then one day I met Abhinav Kashyap and after two months, got a call to audition for Besharam. After being selected for the movie, I realised that soon I would be walking the red carpet.” She further added.

Besharam’s Pallavi Sharda has recently signed a movie opposite Ayushmann Khuranna, which will be a period drama to be directed by Vibhu Puri.
