Hrithik Roshan’s superhero flick, Krrish 3, which was set for a November 4 release, is now rescheduled to three days prior. The makers first fixed the release date on November 3, moving it to November 4 and now, finally settling for a November 1 release. So now, Krrish 3, like most movies, will hit theaters on a Friday, instead of a Sunday or a Monday, thereby giving a sigh of relief to all the Krrish fans.
Director Rakesh Roshan passed on the confirmed date to all his distributors and exhibitors over the weekend. Apparently, this decision was made on the suggestion of his distributors, exhibitors and even overseas associates.
Confirms Rakesh Roshan, “This year, Dhanteras, the first day of Diwali, is on November 1. And it’s a holiday for most people. My distributors and exhibitors, even those overseas, wondered why I was not making use of the holidays. Fortunately or unfortunately, it’s for the first time in many years that Diwali and Lakshmi Puja are falling on Sunday. No one knows the repercussions of a pre-Diwali release. But since everyone is keen on a Friday release, I’ll be releasing Krrish 3 on November 1.”
Also trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted, confirming the release date, “Very right decision taken by Rakesh Roshan. #Krrish3 will hit screens on Friday (Nov. 1), AND NOT Monday (Nov. 4) as originally planned.”
Krrish 3 is directed by Rakesh Roshan and stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi and Kangna Ranaut.
