Besharam beats Chennai Express

Chennai Express broke a lot of records, including the one of being released in most theatres. It was released in a whopping 3500 theatres in India. The film starring SRK, set a record-breaking-trend and now Ranbir Kapoor’s much awaited film Besharam will be released in 3600 screens in India.

With this, Besharam which releases on a Wednesday (October 2), also stars Ranbir Kapoor’s parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, besides starring the debutante Pallavi Sharda. The film directed by Abhinav Kashyap, beats Chennai Express and becomes the biggest Bollywood release of all time.

The initial target was 4000 screens but many theatres in South India are packed with the movie Attarintiki Daredi, starring Pawan Kalyan, a very popular Telugu actor. So the Distributor Head of Reliance Entertainment Utpal Acharya is slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, 3600 is not a small thing, not at all…

    1. Agreed that SRK is the Badshah of Bollywood.. but in future we believe that the Kapoor-boy will surely be there at that stage! If not better, atleast somewhere close to SRK’s status!
