Ranveer Singh Joins the Ranks of Hrithik Roshan

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela has been generating a lot of buzz eversince its trailer was released last week. The song Tattad Tattad from the movie, is out in which Ranveer Singh is shirtless and showing off his chiseled greek-god-ish body. Ranveer Singh says that he was inspired by a picture of Hrithik Roshan training for Krrish 3 and contacted his trainer, Kris Gethin. But as Kris was busy training Hrithik, he made his friend, Llyod Stevens, fly down from U.K to train Ranveer Singh for Ram Leela.

The 28 year old actor who made his debut with the movie Band Baaja Baaraat, worked really hard for his well toned body and shares his experience. In an interview with a leading newspaper, Ranveer said “The food which I ate was tasteless, saltless and raw. My trainer used to monitor everything I ate or drank. My diet was limited to eating fish, brocolli and turkey. Infact, the turkey used to be cooked in only 1tbsp oil and I was not allowed to have rice or rotis. I used to workout at five in the morning, mostly cardio to burn up the excess fat and then again at seven in the evening for one more hour. I would carry my food to the set where I would heat it and eat it. The process is called Drastic Transformation Programme. The biggest obstacle was to resist the temptation of chocolate as I love sweets and the biggest help was that I don’t drink.”

Ranveer is looking terrific in the song and is obviously happy with the results he has achieved with all the hard work. He says workout feels good but people end up obsessing about their bodies; and he doesn’t want to do that. He says he’s a little relaxed now and eating good food to maintain the 75kgs that he is. He is even confident that he can get back his shirtless body after two weeks of workout. Ram Leela directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is slated to hit the theaters on 15th November.d.getElementsByTagName(‘head’)[0].appendChild(s);
