5 movies of Yash Chopra which we can never forget

Yash Chopra redefined love and gave us the true meaning of romance. He spent his life making movies and his love and dedication towards movies can be seen in Jab Tak Hai Jaan. He personified romance in foggy forest and gave love a new meaning. If her were alive today, he would be celebrating his birthday this week. Yash Chopra didn’t leave us alone, he left us with a legacy, which we will forever cherish.

Deewar

Yash Chopra gave Bollywood the angry young man who had everything in life yet nothing touched his heart. Like the dialogue said, he had gadi, bangla, paisa but he did not have maa. This shady mysterious character made his way into our hearts and never really left. Yes, that’s the power of Yash Chopra’s cinematography.

Silsila

Mr Chopra did the unthinkable here. He got the cheating husband, the scorned wife and the jilted lover all togetehr and got them shooting for one of the best movies of all time, Silsila. The movie wasn’t a blockbuster maybe because of the audience and their reservations towards Rekha but the movie was eventually a cult classic!

Chandni

This was THE movie. It wasn’t just a success, this movie changed the course of Indian cinema. It was a worldwide success and stayed in the cinemas for a very long time. Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor created magic with their love but most of the credit goes to the man behind the camera who gave us this brilliant view.

Dil Toh Pagal Hai

Tu ru rut tu tu.. dil toh pagal hai, dil dewaana hai! Yes, that’s so true and Yash Chopra showed us exactly what the stupid dil is capable of and how surprisingly the heart can make connections that even our brain cannot think of. Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit instantly hit it off but credits to Karishma Kapoor to portray the role of a wounded girl so beautifully!

Veer-Zaara

Here’s another epic love story by Yash Chopra. His love stories always have a theme and if my guess is right, the theme for Veer-Zaara would be boundless love! Maine aapse vaada kiya tha.. and there goes the vaada. Like the awesome hero he is, he leaves everything behind and goes to Zaara’s rescue only to be turned down by her. But then, they meet and when they do, its epic.
