Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam starring Ranbir Kapoor and Pallavi Sharda among others is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. We’ve been hearing a lot about Besharam but who is this Pallavi Sharda? Where did she come from? How did she land in B-Town???
Well Pallavi is the daughter of Dr. Hema Sharda (Director of South Asian Relations at the University of Western Australia), and Dr. Nalin Sharda (Professor of Computer Science at Victoria University). Both her parents are IIT alumni and have PhDs in science and engineering. They migrated to Australia in the 1980s, before she was born where they are now professors. Born in Perth and brought up in Melbourne into an academic family, Sharda commenced her LLB and BA (Media & Communications) & Diploma in Modern Languages (French) at the University of Melbourne, at the age of 16. Sharda shifted base from Melbourne to Mumbai in 2008.
Her first screen appearance was in the 2010 hit film My Name is Khan, where she had a cameo role. She later appeared in such roles in movies like Heroine, Love Breakups Zindagi, etc. She made her Australian film debut with the movie Save Your Legs in this year.
Pallavi, who is trailed in Bharatanatyam, has also done theater plays like the theatrical musical Taj Express, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. Her big debut in Bollywood is Besharam where she plays the role of Tara Jan, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Bollywood Celebden wishes her luck with Besharam and her future endeavors.
