Be Intehaan – Race 2

Be Intehaan is a very pleasant Bollywood romantic song from Race 2, featuring the passionate and intense vocals of Atif Aslam with support by Sunidhi Chauhan. Mayur Puri’s soulful lyrics perfectly matches the mellifluous music. Pritam scores yet again, with some nice guitar strumming used throughout the song. The beats are light and the mush-factor is high. A perfect romantic track which is to be played in repeat mode.

Teri Jhuki Nazar – Murder 3

Shafqat Amanat Ali proves yet again why he is one of the most sought after singers from Pakistan. Teri Jhuki Nazar makes your heart skip a beat, all thanks to the romantic flavor of the track. A very soft number with superb soft stringed guitar strummings and lofty drum kicks. Sayeed Quadri’s extremely amiable lyrics is a hit. Pritam has again proved his flashy skills. Mesmerizing!

Khamakha – Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola

‘Khamakha’ is an all-out romantic track that sweeps the die-hard romantics right off their feet. Its a mushy romantic ballad rendered by Vishal Bhardwaj. He is supported well by Gulzar’s beautiful lyrics, while Prem Dehati infuses a folk touch to the number, behind the mike. A very soulful number which is pure musical delight to hear.

Tu Hi Tu – Nautanki Saala

Tu Hi Tu is a gem of a number, highly intense and passionate, sung by the versatile singer Ayushman Khurrana himself. The song has a dreamy feel to it, with mind blowing lyrics by Kausar Munir. Composed by Mikey McCleary, this one has to be a chart buster of 2013. LOVE it!

Yaaram-Ek Thi Daayan

Yaaram is the first song of Ek Thi Daayan, crooned beautifully by Sunidhi Chauhan. The films lead actress, Kalki is seen strumming the guitar and crooning all the things she would do for her someone special. Gulzar’s wonderful words are very light on the ears and poetic. Soothing yet dark and premonitory, Yaaram is a NOT TO BE MISSED number.

Tum Hi Ho – Aashiqui 2


Mithoon’s contribution “Tum Hi Ho” is undoubtedly the best number in the entire album. With a heavy and deep voice of Arijit Singh, the song is soulful, extremely touching and literally dripping with melody. With each subsequent hearing, the song sounds better. There is a reprise version of it too, a duet where Palak Muchal gives Arijit Singh superb company and is as good as the original.

Subhanallah – Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani


The love ballad is beautifully rendered by Sreeram and Shilpa Rao. It’s a falling-in-love song that is easy on the ears, and slowly grows on you with every hearing. Perfect to woo diehard romantics. However, this time, Pritam is not at his melodic best.

Ambarsariya – Fukrey


This is undoubtedly one of the sleekest tracks of recent times. A romantic number with a Punjabi folk tune. Sona Mohapatra is class apart, enthralling you with her raw, sonorous vocals. A super breezy composition, with the harmonium and guitar romancing each other. However, the music not for once over powers the singer’s voice.

Tum Tak – Raanjhanaa


People can express their love even better with Javed Ali’s track “Tum tak”. Quite a mushy number, Tum tak speaks of a person who is obsessed with his lover. The number has so many different shades to it. If theres simple raga, there’s traditional qawwali and bhajan, too. The shehnai and tabla combination only adds to the spiritual touch. While Javed Ali croons the song with loads of love and passion, Pooja Av and Keerti Sagathia support him well. Music maestro, A R Rahman has included the regional flavour in this tracks.

Sawaar Loon – Lootera


This is the opening number of the album. Yet another falling-in-love ballad that has an old world charm about it. Sung by Monali Thakur, the song becomes more interesting as it progresses. Very melodious and rhythmic. The new age composer-lyricist duo, Amit-Amitabh carve out a gem; Sawaar Loon will difinetely be remembered for a very long time.

Bairiya – Ramaiya Vastavaiya


Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal creates magic together with Bairiya. The number has a magical feel to it and the singers’ soothing voices are mesmerizing. The tune gradually changes pace as more instruments join in.The lyrics by Priya Panchal are first class and defines the state of mind of lovers in such way that one instantly connects with it. Impressive!

Issaq Tera – Issaq


The first song of the album, Issaq Tera is an out-and-out winner with singer Mohit Chauhan spinning magic with his voice. The love number has slowly but surely made a very safe place in our hearts. The soft tune of the flute is very soothing to the ears, leaving you asking for more.

Titli – Chennai Express


This track has so lived up to the beauty of it’s title. Titli, crooned by south sensation Chinmayi Sripaada and Gopi Sunder, is extremely soothing to the ears, and it’s rhythm only grows on you. The singer brings in extreme innocence and calmness to this one. The lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, is so very fresh and meaningful, expressing the state of mind of a girl who has fallen in love. All-in-all, Titli makes you feel like a butterfly.
