Shahid Kapoor has enthralled all of us with his dance moves and his performances in a handful of movies. He’s been one of the most decorated actors in Bollywood though having delivered many flops in his film career. And he’s been on a flop streak with movies like Milenge Milenge, Mausam and Teri Meri Kahaani bombing at the box office big time! But the actor must be surely hoping to turn the cards around with his latest flick Phata Poster Nikla Hero which released today. Well, we’ll have to wait and watch out for it’s review before we decide it’s verdict.
Here are 5 worst movies of Shahid Kapoor which we feel should never be watched! Even if you’re a Shahid Kapoor fan and even more if you want to remain a Shahid Kapoor fan in the future.
Fool & Final
Fool & Final was a multi-starrer flick which had Sunny Deol, Ayesha Takia, Sameera Reddy, Vivek Oberoi and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a thief and he along with Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever are sent to steal a diamond which is worth crores! This results in a string of comic sequences which are really not funny. The movie lacks punches and one-liners which is the most important aspect in a comedy flick. The story is ‘highly inspired’ from the Hollywood flick Snatch.
This movie’s inclusion in the list might seem obvious to some people while debatable to others but seriously, the story of the film couldn’t get any more dumb. Shahid Kapoor is cast opposite Vidya Balan in the film. Though their performances were appreciable, the story was far away from it. Vidya Balan plays the role of Shahid’s love interest and also his lucky charm who turns his stale and failing life around into a much prosperous and pleasant one.
Dil Bole Hadippa
You were expecting this, don’t you? Great minds, think alike! Dil Bole Hadippa is a movie about how a woman named Veera (Rani Mukherjee) who is very passionate about Cricket wants to get into the male Indian Cricket Team while Shahid Kapoor being the captain of the team. So what does she do? She disguises herself has a male (Veer) and gets into the team! Woo! No medicals? The movie had a very unconvincing and predictable story. But delivered a good message supporting women empowerment and degrading male dominance in the society. But to be very honest, in the most stupid way.
This movie starring Shahid Kapoor and his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor released in 2009 and I think even the lead pair might be fretting over it’s release. Milenge Milenge started shooting in 2004 but due to it’s hotel(where the cast and crew were about to stay) being washed away in the Tsunami and later Shahid and Kareena’s break-up delayed the film’s production even more. But when it eventually released, the movie looked outdated and sad. Simply, just sad. No fun, no good dialogues, no good story and no good chemistry. The story is just too unrealistic and lame. I wouldn’t say watch it to believe it because then that would be an attempt to torture.
Mausam is a romantic flick starring Shahid and Sonam Kapoor. The movie revolves around the couple’s separation, time after time just when they start getting closer. Shahid plays the role of a Squadron Leader who paralyses his left arm during a mission. Sonam Kapoor’s performance in the film was mediocre at best and the chemistry between the two stars was a big fail. The movie bombed at the box office as it received mixed reviews but was declared a flop.
