There have been reports doing the rounds that suggest differences between actor Imran Khan and producer Ekta Kapoor over the marketing of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara. And Imran Khan has told that he believes in ‘intelligent’ promotional strategies (much like his uncle, Aamir).
OUATIMD was released on August 15 and featured Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan. The movie failed to do what was expected from it though it garnered decent collections at the box office.
When asked about the difference over the promotion of the film, Imran said, “There is no point speaking about what has happened in the past. There is no point to dwell on the past. If you can’t say good things then don’t talk. A film should be promoted aggressively but it should also be intelligent. I believe in promoting films in intelligent way.”
This fight had widened so much that Imran Khan even opted out of Ekta Kapoor’s next Milan Talkies and has been replaced by Shahid Kapoor. The movie will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Imran is now looking forward to his next release Gori Tere Pyaar Mein produced by Karan Johar. The movie also features Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead.
“I am sure Karan will promote this film intelligently so I don’t worry when I work with him,” Imran said.
