Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who’s busy promoting English Premier League through TV commercials, could soon be relishing his passion for football by cheering for his own team in the upcoming Indian Premier League Football. And to add to that, Bollywood actor John Abraham is reportedly all set to partner the captain in this joint venture.
John Abraham is certainly not the first celebrity to drift into this business as Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and others have previously ventured into this field. Shahrukh has been heard saying he wants to buy another Kolkata-based team and might just buy the football franchise of the Bengal city.
According to sources, Dhoni and John Abraham who’re both crazy about bikes and football, might come together to buy a football franchise in the league which is proposed by IMG-Reliance.
“John has already made his expression of interest to invest in the league and also plans to involve Dhoni in the venture,” a source told a leading newspaper on Tuesday.
