Shahrukh Khan will be playing a Gujarati Don after Farah’s Happy New Year

In an interview, Shahrukh Khan confirmed that he will be playing a Gujarati don in Rahul Dholakia’s next which is yet to be titled. After he was asked what’s next for him after Chennai Express, the actor said, “An MRI on August 19 (because of his recent shoulder surgery). Then Farah’s (Farah Khan) Happy New Year in Dubai and Goa. Then Rahul Dholakia’s film.”

Rahul Dholakia has previously directed Parzania, Lamhaa. Reports also suggest that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani might co-produce a movie with Shahrukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie will be shot extensively in Gujarat and Shahrukh will be seen portraying the character of a big hearted don. This is surely going to be something new for the superstar in terms of Gujarati culture and set up.

In another interview, the Baadshah of Bollywood also confirmed that he’s been in talks with several directors including Anurag Kashyap, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vishal Bhardwaj and Manish Sharma. When he was asked about his experience with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he said,”Yes, Sanjay has two subjects and one really fantastic big thing.”

Now that ‘one really fantastic big thing’ could be Bajirao Mastani which will star Shahrukh and Aishwarya Rai Bachahan together along with Abhishek. Well, let’s just wait and find out!
