Milan Luthria’s, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara failed to do a good business in its second weekend. The movie had a very heavy star cast including the khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar. It seems Akshay is losing popularity.
OUATIMD got released on Independence Day after it made way for ‘Chennai Express’ to avoid clash regarding sharing of screens. And this turned out to be a bad omen for OUATIMD. The movie is now trying to survive at the theatres as it didn’t do any good business. Neither in the country nor overseas.
OUATIMD made 90 percent of the collection on 15th August itself, which is unfortunately less. It has come to our knowledge that OUATIMD’s producer Shobha Kapoor is disappointed with UTV and SRK regarding screen sharing. However, the screen count increased but the collections have dropped. The movie failed to entertain the audience. Ekta Kapoor needs to think about the content first.
The film did not create any impact during weekends and remained low-key during weekdays. It raked in ₹53 crore plus nett in the first week, while the other contender “Chennai Express” grossed more than ₹100 crore in its debut week and is still dominating the box office. “OUATIMD”, which is made on a budget of ₹95 crore, will not be able to recover its costs. The makers of the film will face losses, according to bollywoodhungama.
The movie earned more than 53crore nett in the first week, while its opponent ‘Chennai Express’ grossed more than 100 crore in its debut week and it looks like the movie has conquered the box-office. OUATIMD is at a loss because the budget of the movie is 95 crore and the level of enetertainment that it is providing is not enough to impress the audience. According to our analysis, OUATIMD might not be able to cover its cost.
