Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s combo turned out to be a treasure for the makers of ‘Chennai Express’. Chennai Express has broken all the red signals and is now the third all time highest grosser. Although the movie got mixed response from viewers, it has crossed the 200 crore mark yesterday.
Undisturbed by ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, the movie survives the second week at the theatres. The Rohit Shetty masala entertainer overtook OUATIMD on the weekdays. Its 13 day total is Rs 197.36 crores and in addition to it, the movie earned Rs 6.50 cr on Friday, Rs 8.51 cr on Saturday, Rs 10.22 cr on Sunday, Rs 3.80 cr on Monday, Rs 7.06 cr on Tuesday, Rs 4.51 cr on Wednesday and yesterday the total was 200 crores.
The Rohit Shetty directed ‘Chennai Express’ collected over Rs. 6 crores on its premiere show and on Thursday the movie broke the record of Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. The movie is also assumed to break the record of Aamir Khan’s 3 idiots, which is the all time highest grosser with its life time business Rs 202 crores.
