Sanjay Leela Bhansali says Deepika Padukone has upped her level of performance

Deepika Padukone has reached new heights after two successive humongous blockbuster hits in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express but someone tells us that we are yet to see her at her best. Those who were lucky enough to have a glimpse of Ram Leela predict that the actress has upped her level in the film. Not just in looks but also her acting skills.

A source says, “The film will be a bigger hit than Bhansali’s Devdas, and Deepika will effortlessly join the ranks of India’s greatest acting talent.”

Deepika already has three blockbuster hits this year with Race 2 being the first followed by YJHD and Chennai Express and we won’t be surprised if her fourth is just around the corner. Deepika Padukone will be seen in a completely different avatar in this flick as she will be playing a free-spirited, fearless and sharp-toungued Gujju lady and Deepika has apparently performed the character with perfection.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali writes his scripts with some exceptionally clear scenes and dialogues for the female leads. From Manisha Koirala to Sonam Kapoor, every heroine of the filmmaker turns out to be the most memorable character of the film.


Ram Leela has certainly brought out the best in Deepika Padukone and looking at the way she talks and exchanges those intense dialogues clearly showcase the intensity of love between the two. She’s got several intimate scenes with Ranveer Singh and a source says, she completely digs into her character with such emotion and impulse as she digs her nails into Ranveer’s bare back.

Says Bhansali, “Deepika has created magic in Ram Leela. I am so glad I chose her for this project. This film takes me and her to to another level.” The filmmaker claims that Ram Leela will definitely lift up Deepika Padukone to a completely new level and she’s surely going to sweep all the awards! Well, we seriously, can’t wait now!
