Much was expected from Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara and it did deliver but unfortunately only on the independence day.
Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan starrer somehow managed to rub shoulders with Shahrukh’s Chennai Express but a bad word of mouth certainly affected the movie’s business. The movie kick-started on Thursday pretty well, garnering Rs 11 crores at the box office.
Though the movie had a wide opening on Friday, it failed badly to fill all the screens and collected only Rs 10.25 crores. The collections turned worse on Saturday as it fell to Rs 8.75 crores followed by Rs 10.25 crores on a holiday (Sunday). If you look at it overall, the total collection of the movie is around Rs 40.25 crores at the domestic box office.
Trade experts suggest that the fall in the box office collections will continue during the weekdays and the movie will hardly reach the 65-70 crore mark in it’s lifetime business.
On the other hand, Chennai Express is continuing its rage on the box office meter, completely unaffected by OUATIMD.
