OUATIMD, the sequel to OUATIM, has caused animosity between the makers even before it gets a chance to flop at the box office. When the first OUATIM was launched, the expectations of the makers were of moderate collection with some critical acclaim, not the blockbuster success they got. Inspired by this success, the director is said to have been ready to make a sequel and dish it out to a waiting audience. The only missing link had been a name and it wasn’t until the success party where, when asked by a journalist if he would make Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again? he was seen looking like a man who had just had a Rs. 100 crore idea.
It was only after the intervention of the numerologist who actually heads Balaji Telefilms that the name was changed to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara!
However, new reports are coming out from both the director’s and filmmaker’s camps about growing differences over the name of the third installment of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. While the numerologist is pushing for Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Phiirr Saye.. the director’s camp is in no mood to name it anything other than Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 3. The extra ‘a’ in Mumbai is numerology enough they say. Sources say that the final decision will rest with the erstwhile lord of the Mumbai Underworld who actually green lighted the entire series.
