Finally, the time has come. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara is just 2 days away from its release, and with the right kind of noise it has been making, the film is eagerly awaited and is definitely here to stay for quite sometime now. This is no ordinary gangster film; but one loaded with drama and romance. We have our expectations soaring high and bring to you 8 reasons why this film is a must watch.
Akshay Kumar, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha’s mind blowing dialogues.
Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara seems to have a dialogue for every occasion and emotion. There are brilliant one-liners in this film. Sample these:
Imran Khan compares his friendship, with a super cheesy dialogue, “Humari dosti tyre aur tube jaisi hai. Hawa teri nikalti hai aur baith main jaata hoon”.
Akshay, who is happy being a villain wisecracks, “Hero marne ke baad swarg jaata hai, aur villain jeete je swarg paata hai,”
Sonakshi give a new voice to Ajay Devgn’s dialogue from the prequel ‘Dua me yaad rakhna’, “In award ki keemat sirf ek saal ki hoti hai … par duayein hamesha saath deti hai … is liye kehna chahongi, bus dua mein yaad rakhna”
Akshay Kumar dons the new villain image.
Post the release of OUATIMD, people are sure to remember Akshay Kumar as Shoaib, just like the way Amjad Khan is as Gabbar. That’s how powerful Akki’s role is in the film. Akshay said, “I enjoyed the role of the antagonist. It’s boring to be the good guy all the time. As a bad guy you get bashed up in the last 15 minutes or so, until then you are having all the fun. So while Imran and Sonakshi were sweating it out dancing to ‘Taiyyab Ali’ I was moving about in sleek cars and living the good life”
Very recently, it was reported that Al Pacino had praised Kumar after seeing the trailer for the film. Need we say more?
With the film’s prequel being a super hit – its characters, music and uniqueness, the sequel is much awaited.
One of the reasons why the movie is a must watch is because the evergreen gangster genre in Bollywood industry still has a lot to offer. The concept of a love triangle between a hero, a heroine and a villain, in the 70’s era has already garnered a lot of interest. While Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010), was a super hit both commercially and critically, a lot more is expected from its sequel. The characters in the prequel were very well depicted and the same could be expected in the second installment! Though Ajay Devgn justified the role of Sultan Mirza very convincingly, we are looking forward to see what Akshay Kumar can bring (being the main focus) in the film.
We have already got a taste of Akshay-Sonakshi in their earlier film Rowdy Rathore. In OUATIMD, Imran-Sonakshi’s chemistry is much talked about
So far, everyone are might impressed with the fresh crackling chemistry between Imran and Sonakshi. Together, they have made quite a buzz in B-town. It is said that the duo’s chemistry is very powerful and that it could be one of the reasons for OUATIMD to be success.
OUATIMD is the biggest film ever to have come out of Ekta Kapoor’s stable.
Ekta Kapoor has slowly become one of the few filmmakers who can entertain us with her movies in an unorthodox style. Her movie The Dirty Picture was critically acclaimed and shot Vidya Balan to fame! We never know, with OUATIMD, Sonakshi Sinha might just become a hero overnight.
Sonakshi Sinha will be seen doing a lot more than just song-n-dance routine.
The Jr Shotgun is all set to surprise her fans with her new look. Sonakshi plays Yasmin, a young actress in the film, and has a lot to give to the audiences. While the don Akshay likes to woo his lady with his charm and power, the wannabe gangster Imran amuses his lady love with his boyish charm. Sonakshi, the lucky one, seem to enjoy all the adulation and love showered upon her by the two men. It is heard that, the actress has done her part pretty well.
The film is also a game changer for ‘chocolate boy’ Imran Khan.
OUATIMD hopefully should change the ‘chocolate boy’ image for Imran Khan. The talented actor turns baddie and will play a don in parallel lead with Akshay Kumar.
The director of the film Milan Luthria
If OUATIMD is a hit, Luthria could be one of the rare filmmakers to strike a hat trick after ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’.
