Actors from other countries and languages from other states have entered Bollywood and is creating a diversity, which eventually only provides us with more entertainment. King Khan was mocked on the sets of Chennai Express when he said ‘Kundi Khol’. Now, Kundi in Hindi means latch and in Tamil, it means bum. The superstar wasn’t aware of the Tamil meaning and obviously meant the Hindi phrase. In order to avoid such boo-boos in future, SRK is learning stock phrases and even full sentences to master the language.
Raanjhanaa wouldn’t have been as successful as it is if it wasn’t for Dhanush and his hard work. The actor floored us all with his power-packed performance in the movie. But did you know the Tamil star did not know a word in Hindi before he signed the film? well, Dhanush reportedly took exclusive lessons so that he could dub for the movie himself. Apparently, for the super talented actor, it was not the Hindi language that was difficult but the culture. Dhanush reveals that, he first mastered the culture and language came automatically.
This Bangalore beauty who plays the role of a Tamil girl in Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, has allured the audiences with her Tamil accent. However, Deepika confesses that it took a lot of hard work in getting the accent right. Apparently, the actress was made to watch a couple of Tamil films to perfect language and lingo. Kudos to to her, with all the hard work, Deepika does sound sexy, no?
A perfectionist that he is, the supers star is learning Marathi. Well, we would have understood if he learned French, German or Spanish. But Marathi? The perfectionist’s nephew, Imran Khan had to learn Haryanvi for the movie Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Apparently, the actor spent five hours daily to master the language and the tapori lingo. Umran reveals that more than the language, it was the accent that gave him a tough time. He breaks into sweat thinking about it, even today. But we must say, it was a flawless performance, Imran.
The multi talented actress had to learn Telugu for the south version of Zanjeer, titled Thoofan, so that she got her dialogues right. Though the actress did not dub for the Telugu version, she still had to get the lines perfect so that her voice and expression matched. Priyanka can do anything and everything.
