Farhan Akhtar goes back to school

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who is racing ahead with his “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” success, relived some of his childhood memories on a visit to his alma mater, the Maneckji Cooper School here Friday.

Only this time, he went for a promotional event for the movie.

“Went back to my school to unveil a ‘…Milkha’ cover notebook. Flooded with memories. Still smiling,” Farhan shared on Twitter.

“My school motto and Milkhaji’s philosophy are the same – ‘There is no excellence without labour’… So what better place to do this activity,” he added.

Farhan essays former athlete Milkha Singh in the biopic, directed by filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

The actor had a “big thank you” to convey to the the principal, teachers, staff and students for their “generosity of time and love”.
