Cast: Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva, Anu Kapoor
Director: Sangeeth Sivan
Plot: Gajodhar(Bobby Deol) and Dharam (Dharmendra) play the two cons they did in the first installment of the film while Paramveer (Sunny Deol) works for a bank. Paramveer gets a job of recovering loan from a ‘used-to-be-millionaire’ but who now looms around in debt. Dharam and Gajodhar plan to con Mr Khanna (Anu Kapoor) and suman (Neha Sharma) and Reet (Kristina Akheeva) are the two daughters of Anu Kapoor who are also a part of Dharam and Gajodhar’s plan. But their plan takes a massive u-turn when they find out Neha Sharma is not biologically Anu Kapoor’s daughter in the film. On the other hand, there is Joe Armstrong a.k.a Dude (Anupam Kher) who makes you laugh like crazy with his comic-villain role. Now the crazy ride begins with the which promises a lot of fun and a lot of laughter! Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is entertaining throughout and the action sequences are hilarious!
Technical Aspect: The movie is not as good as the first one but the comedy is pretty decent. The dialogues are funny but some are a bit lame. The music is not that great while the rest of the movie is quite bearable. The action scenes could’ve been more realistic, I mean who would expect Sunny Deol to throw a sumo wrestler like he’s in Shot put Olympics games?
Performances: Dharmendra and Bobby Deol performances are at their best with their dialogues while Anu Kapoor and Anupam Kher are equally good with their roles. Sunny Deol plays the tough Sardar like he previously did and the two actresses have done justice to their part.
Rating: Though not something incredible was expected from this flick, the movie’s plot could’ve been much more stronger. 2.5/5
